STARTER (for 2.0 kW Type) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the lead wire from terminal C.

    2. Remove the 2 through bolts.

    3. Pull out the starter yoke together with the armature.

    4. Remove the O-ring from the starter yoke.

  2. REMOVE STARTER CLUTCH SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws and magnet starter switch assembly.

    2. Remove the return spring.

    3. Remove the pinion gear, idler gear, clutch roller, retainer and starter clutch assembly from the starter drive housing.

      Using a magnet hand, remove the steel ball from the clutch shaft hole.

  3. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws and commutator end frame from the starter yoke.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the starter yoke.

    3. Disconnect the 4 starter yoke brushes from the starter brush holder.

        Using a screwdriver, pull back the spring.

      2. Disconnect the brush from the starter brush holder.

    4. Remove the starter brush holder from the starter yoke.

  4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the starter armature from the starter yoke.
