ROOF SUNSHADE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL SUNSHADE HOUSING ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the sunshade housing assembly with the 11 nuts.

      Torque:

      5.8 N*m  { 59 kgf*cm, 51 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not damage the sunshade housing assembly or body interior.

   2. Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL ROOF PANEL REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the roof panel reinforcement sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:

      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

3. INSTALL INNER ROOF SIDE RAIL REINFORCEMENT

   
   

   1. Engage the 2 guides.

   2. Install the inner roof side rail reinforcement with the 3 bolts.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other reinforcement.

4. INSPECT SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the roof headlining assembly. Click here

   2. Connect the roof headlining assembly. Click here

   3. Check the operation of the roof sunshade assembly.

      
      

      1. Connect the connector to the map light assembly.

      2. Turn the power switch to on (IG).

      3. Operate the roof sunshade switch and check that no unusual noises can be heard when the roof sunshade is operated in both directions.

      4. Turn the power switch to off.

      5. Disconnect the connector from the map light assembly.

5. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

6. CHECK ROOF SUNSHADE ASSEMBLY

7. INITIALIZE ROOF SUNSHADE ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY)
