FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    Note

    If the fuel temperature sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.


    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring.

    2. Install the O-ring to the fuel temperature sensor.

    3. Temporarily install the fuel temperature sensor to the supply pump assembly.

      Using SST, tighten the fuel temperature sensor.

      SST
      09922-10010
      Torque:
      without SST
      22 N*m  { 224 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf }
      with SST
      13 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

      Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a SST is combined with a torque wrench Click here.

  2. INSTALL SUPPLY PUMP ASSEMBLY

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

  5. BLEED AIR FROM FUEL SYSTEM

  6. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK
