STOP AND START SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P062F
| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| P062F | Internal Control Module EEPROM Error |
DESCRIPTION
The engine stop and start ECU stores the number of starter assembly operations, air conditioning information, and the deceleration sensor zero point learning results.
If the engine stop and start ECU cannot write the number of starter assembly operations, air conditioning information, or the deceleration sensor zero point learning results, it stores DTC P062F, blinks the stop and start cancel indicator light, and prohibits stop and start control.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN
DTCs for the stop and start system are not cleared even if the malfunction has been repaired. After repairing the malfunction, be sure to clear the DTCs (Click here).
Check the number of starter operations (Click here).
STOP AND START SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
Tip:When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, stop and start control is prohibited for a certain amount of time. After connecting the cable, drive the vehicle until stop and start control is permitted (approximately 15 to 40 minutes).
Start the engine and warm it up.
Turn the air conditioning system off.
Drive the vehicle at 7 km/h (4.3 mph) or more.
CAUTION:When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Stop the vehicle, move the shift lever to neutral and release the clutch pedal.
Allow the engine to stop by stop and start control.
Depress the clutch pedal and start the engine.
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Before replacing the engine stop and start ECU, read the number of starter operations and write it into a new engine stop and start ECU (Click here).
After replacing the engine stop and start ECU or air conditioning amplifier assembly, reset and perform learning of the air conditioning information in the engine stop and start ECU (Click here).
After replacing the engine stop and start ECU or yaw rate sensor, perform deceleration sensor zero point clear and calibration (Click here).
DTCs for the stop and start system are not cleared even if the malfunction has been repaired. After repairing the malfunction, be sure to clear the DTCs (Click here).
Using the GTS, read the freeze frame data before troubleshooting. System condition information is recorded as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. This information can be useful when troubleshooting (Click here).
PROCEDURE
PERFORM REGISTRATION (ECU EXCHANGE)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / ECU Exchange.
According to the GTS display, download the previous status (the number of starter operations) from the engine stop and start ECU to the GTS.
CLEAR DTC
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Trouble Codes.
Clear the DTCs.
PERFORM REGISTRATION (STARTER EXCHANGE, RESET A/C INFORMATION, DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CLEAR)
Clear the number of starter operations.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / Starter Exchange.
Clear the air conditioning information.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / Reset A/C Information.
Clear the zero point calibration data of the deceleration sensor.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Clear.
PERFORM REGISTRATION (ECU EXCHANGE)
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / ECU Exchange.
According to the prompts on the GTS screen, write the information to the engine stop and start ECU.
Perform air conditioning information learning (Click here).
Tip:When initialization of the air conditioning information is complete, air conditioning information learning is automatically performed.
Perform deceleration sensor zero point calibration.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration.
CHECK DTC OUTPUT
Start the engine and warm it up.
Turn the air conditioning system off.
Drive the vehicle at 7 km/h (4.3 mph) or more.
CAUTION:When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Stop the vehicle, move the shift lever to neutral and release the clutch pedal.
Allow the engine to stop by stop and start control.
Depress the clutch pedal and start the engine.
