HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY(for Sedan) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.

    2. Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.

    3. Engage the hood lock control cable assembly to the 4 clamps and hood cable grommet.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.

    2. Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.

    3. Engage the hood lock control cable assembly to the 4 clamps and hood cable grommet.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

    1. B350310

      Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

    2. Connect the hood lock control cable.

    3. Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.

      7.5 N*m

      76 kgf*cm

      66 in.*lbf

    4. w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

      1. Engage the clamp.

      2. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  5. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  7. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for LHD)

  8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for LHD)

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  10. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH (for RHD)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
