OUTLINE
The Local Interconnect Network (LIN) consists of a bus for each related body electrical system, and is used for communication between ECUs or switches.
LIN is used for the entry and start system, charging system, power window system, sliding roof system, panoramic moon roof system, air conditioning system, wiper and washer system, lighting system, double locking system, steering vibration and hands free power back door.
Signals transmitted via LIN can be sent to CAN through the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) with a gateway function that is also connected to CAN. However, the power window system, sliding roof system, wiper and washer system, panoramic moon roof system and double locking system are not connected to CAN.
