OIL COOLER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure toread the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click hereClick hereClick hereClick hereClick here).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click hereClick hereClick hereClick hereClick hereClick here).

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  5. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

  6. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE BATTERY INSULATOR

  8. REMOVE BATTERY

  9. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

  10. REMOVE FRONT BATTERY BRACKET

  11. REMOVE BATTERY BRACKET REINFORCEMENT

  12. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER

      Slide the clips and remove the oil cooler inlet hose and oil cooler outlet hose.

    2. C280047

      Detach the 3 clamps from the No. 8 water by-pass hose and No. 9 water by-pass hose.

    3. Slide the clips and remove the No. 8 water by-pass hose and No. 9 water by-pass hose.

      Remove the 2 bolts and transmission oil cooler from the front engine mounting bracket.
