FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type) REASSEMBLY

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for TSAM Made)


    1. If installing a new front seat cushion pad:


      1. A01E1V4E02

        Using hog ring pliers, install the front seat cushion cover to a new seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the cover.

        • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      2. Set the seat cushion cover with pad in place.

      3. A01E2F7E01

        Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat cushion frame with new hog rings.

    2. If installing the front seat cushion pad with front seat cushion frame:


      1. A01E1V4E02

        Using hog ring pliers, install the front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the cover.

        • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      2. A01E2F7E01

        Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat cushion frame with new hog rings.

    3. w/ Occupant detection sensor:

      Attach the wire harness clamp.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for TMT Made)


    1. If installing a new front seat cushion pad:


      1. A01E1V4E02

        Using hog ring pliers, install the front seat cushion cover to a new seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the cover.

        • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      2. Set the seat cushion cover with pad in place.

      3. A01E1DBE01

        Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat cushion frame with new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the cover.

        • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      4. Attach the hooks.

    2. If installing the front seat cushion pad with front seat cushion frame:


      1. A01E1V4E02

        Using hog ring pliers, install the front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the cover.

        • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      2. A01E1DBE01

        Using hog ring pliers, install the front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion frame with new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the cover.

        • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      3. Attach the hooks.

    3. w/ Occupant detection sensor:

      Attach the wire harness clamp.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. A01E21JE01

      Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with 2 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  4. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. A01DY99

      Set the seatback cover with pad in place and attach the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.

    2. A01DXZHE02

      Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

    3. Attach the 2 pieces of fastening tape.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01DZY7

      Install the seatback with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER RH


    1. A01E1M9

      Attach the 2 claws and install the cushion shield.

    2. Install the screw.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedures described for the cushion shield inner RH.

  8. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH

      Install the release handle with the screw.
