OIL PUMP REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL ENGINE TO ENGINE STAND

  2. REMOVE ENGINE HANGER

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

  5. REMOVE VENTILATION HOSE

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE

  7. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 CRANK POSITION SENSOR

  9. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE WATER INLET

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER INLET HOUSING GASKET

  12. REMOVE CRANK POSITION SENSOR

  13. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

  14. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. A205507

      Remove the 3 bolts and engine mounting bracket RH.

      Seal Washer

      Remove the 24 bolts and seal washer.

      Protective Tape

      Remove the timing chain cover sub-assembly by prying between the timing chain cover sub-assembly, cylinder head sub-assembly and cylinder block sub-assembly with a screwdriver.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the contact surfaces of the timing chain cover sub-assembly, cylinder block sub-assembly, and cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the 2 O-rings.

    5. A200637

      Using a 8 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the plug.

  15. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL

      Wooden Block

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape and wooden block, remove the timing chain cover oil seal.
