SEAT HEATER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK

  1. CHECK SEAT HEATER TIMER FUNCTION

    1. Turn the seat heater on and the ignition switch off.

    2. Check that the seat heater turns on when the ignition switch is turned to ON within 2 minutes of turning the ignition switch off.

  2. CHECK THERMOSTAT IN FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER LH (SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD)

    1. Remove the front seat cushion heater LH (separate type front seat cushion pad).

    2. Remove the front seatback heater LH (separate type front seatback pad).

    3. Connect the R3 front seat cushion heater LH (separate type front seat cushion pad) connector and front seatback heater LH (separate type front seatback pad) connector.

    4. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the front seat heater according to the table below.

      Note:

      To prevent the front seat heater from overheating, be sure to disconnect the battery from the front seat heater immediately after this inspection is completed.

      Front seat heater temperature 40 to 44°C (104 to 111°F)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal R1-5

  3. CHECK THERMOSTAT IN FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER RH (SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD)

    1. Remove the front seat cushion heater RH (separate type front seat cushion pad).

    2. Remove the front seatback heater RH (separate type front seatback pad).

    3. Connect the Q3 front seat cushion heater RH (separate type front seat cushion pad) connector and front seatback heater RH (separate type front seatback pad) connector.

    4. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the front seat heater according to the table below.

      Note:

      To prevent the front seat heater from overheating, be sure to disconnect the battery from the front seat heater immediately after this inspection is completed.
