CONDENSER (for Cold Area) REMOVAL


  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM


    1. Start up the engine.

    2. A/C switch is ON.

    3. Operate the cooler compressor with an engine speed of approximately 1,000 rpm for 5 to 6 minutes to circulate the refrigerant and collect the compressor oil remaining in each component into the cooler compressor.

    4. Stop the engine.

    5. Using SST, Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery unit.

  2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE


    1. A01E32BE01

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.

  4. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly from the cooler condenser.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 7 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the cooler condenser assembly.

      Pull up the cooler condenser assembly vertically.
