THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH DUCT

      Air Cleaner Cap Support

      *2

      No. 2 Ventilation Hose

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Slide the clip of the No. 2 ventilation hose.

    3. Disengage the air cleaner assembly with duct from the air cleaner cap support, No. 2 ventilation hose and cylinder head cover sub-assembly to remove it.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUPPORT

      Slide the clip and remove the air cleaner cap support from the throttle body with motor assembly.

  4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

      No. 1 Water By-pass Hose Assembly

      *2

      No. 2 Water By-pass Hose Assembly

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose assembly and No. 2 water by-pass hose assembly from the throttle body with motor assembly.

      Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 3 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.

      Note:

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET

    1. A425998

      Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
