ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1210/36 and C1336/98
| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| C1210/36 | Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor Undone |
| C1336/98 | Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone |
DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) via CAN communication.
The airbag ECU assembly has a built-in yaw rate and acceleration sensor and detects the vehicle condition using 2 circuits (GL1, GL2).
If there are malfunctions in the bus lines between the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) and the CAN communication system, DTCs U0123/62 (Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module) and U0124/95 (Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) will be stored.
These DTCs (C1210/36 and C1336/98) will also be stored when zero point calibration has not been completed.

C1210/36 |
Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor Undone |
- |
Yaw rate sensor zero point calibration is incomplete. |
(Perform zero point calibration and check for DTCs. If no DTCs are output again, the sensor is normal.) |
VSC DTC |
C1336/98 |
Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone |

(Perform zero point calibration and check for DTCs. If no DTCs are output again, the sensor is normal.) |
ABS DTC |
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
When replacing the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly), perform initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve.
When replacing the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly), perform zero point calibration.
When U0123/62 and/or U0124/95 is output together with C1210/36 and/or C1336/98, inspect and repair trouble areas indicated by U0123/62 and/or U0124/95 first.
PROCEDURE
PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR
Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.

RECONFIRM DTC
Turn the power switch off.
Clear the DTCs.
Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Clear DTCs
Turn the power switch off.
Turn the power switch on (READY).
Drive the vehicle at a speed of 30 km/h (18 mph) or more, turn the steering wheel, and decelerate the vehicle (depress the brake pedal).
Check if the same DTC is output.

Tip:These DTCs are stored because zero point calibration has not been completed.
End the procedure if the same DTCs are not stored after completion of zero point calibration.

CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
Turn the power switch off.
Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) has been installed properly.
OK
The airbag ECU assembly is tightened to the specified torque.
The airbag ECU assembly is not tilted.
