SHIFT AND SELECT ACTUATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  2. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

    Click here

  5. REMOVE FUEL FILTER SUPPORT

    Click here

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET

    Click here

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE

      Hose Clamp

      Disconnect the wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts.

    3. Loosen the 2 hose clamps and remove the No. 1 air tube.

  8. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS

      Disconnect the 5 wire harness clamps.

    2. C200498

      Disconnect the 6 connectors.

    3. C200499

      Disconnect the select stroke sensor connector.

    4. Disconnect the 3 wire harness clamps.

  9. REMOVE SHIFT AND SELECT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

    1. C200500

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the shift and select actuator.

    2. C200501

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the shift and select actuator.

    3. C277513

      Remove the 6 bolts, wire harness clamp bracket and shift and select actuator from the transaxle case.

      Remove the 2 ring pins from the shift and select actuator.

    5. C276339

      Remove the bolt and breather protector from the shift and select actuator.

      Remove the breather plug cap from the shift and select actuator.
