REAR BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER HOLE COVER


    1. A004KEC

      Engage the 4 claws to install the rear bumper hole cover.

  2. INSTALL CENTER REAR BUMPER BRACKET


    1. A004IR9

      Install the center rear bumper bracket with the clip.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT


    1. A004JEJ

      Install the rear bumper reinforcement with the 4 bolts and the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      45 N*m  { 459 kgf*cm, 33 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT (w/ Side Marker Light)


    1. A004I9L

      Install the rear bumper reinforcement with the 4 bolts and the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      45 N*m  { 459 kgf*cm, 33 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR


    1. A004H5S

      Install the rear bumper protector as shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE BRACKET LH


    1. A004KON

      Install the rear bumper side bracket LH with the 3 screws.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH


    1. A004HEP

      Install the rear bumper side retainer LH with the 2 screws.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH


    1. A004JTT

      Install the rear bumper side seal LH with the 4 clips.

  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  12. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT


    1. A004I2X

      Install the No. 2 rear bumper reinforcement with the 2 clips.

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 rear bumper reinforcement.

  14. INSTALL REAR CENTER UNDER SPOILER (for Sport Package)

      Engage the hook to install the rear center under spoiler.

    2. Install the 2 clips.

    3. A004HMW

      Install the 4 clips.

  15. INSTALL REAR UNDER SPOILER BRACKET (for Sport Package)


    1. A004H84

      Install the 2 rear under spoiler brackets with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  16. INSTALL REAR UNDER SPOILER COVER (for Sport Package)


    1. A004JYR

      Engage the 2 guides to install the rear under spoiler cover.

    2. Engage the 2 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  17. INSTALL REAR SIDE UNDER INNER SPOILER LH (for Sport Package)


    1. A004HXU

      Slide the rear side under inner spoiler LH as shown in the illustration to install it.

    2. Engage the guide.

    3. A004J4U

      Install the 3 clips.

    4. Install the 3 screws.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

  18. INSTALL REAR SIDE UNDER INNER SPOILER RH (for Sport Package)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  19. INSTALL REAR SIDE UNDER OUTER SPOILER LH (for Sport Package)


    1. Clean the rear bumper cover surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install the rear side under outer spoiler LH.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover and the rear side under outer spoiler LH.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the front spoiler cover LH.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. A004KOT

        Engage the claw and install the rear side under outer spoiler LH.

      4. A004IPR

        Apply thorough pressure to the sections with double-sided tape.

      5. Install the 5 clips.
