PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT REFRESHING SEAT SWITCH (for Driver Side)

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection

      Switch Condition

      Specified Condition

      6 (BLLH) - 5 (SW-)

      Switch off

      1.33 to 2.47 kΩ

      Switch on (Blower Min.)

      Switch on (Blower Max.)

      17.9 to 33.2 Ω

      2 (SW) - 7 (RV)

      Switch off

      2.17 to 4.03 kΩ

      Switch on (Heater Min.)

      Switch on (Heater Max.)

      0.28 to 0.52 kΩ
      Tip:

      As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the refreshing seat switch illuminates.

      OK

      Measurement Condition

      Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 8 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-)

      Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.

    3. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the refreshing seat switch indicator illuminates.

      OK

      Measurement Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 10 (IG)

      Battery negative (-) → 3 (E)

      Switch on

      Indicator illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.

  2. INSPECT REFRESHING SEAT SWITCH (for Front Passenger Side)

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Switch on (Blower Max.)

      17.9 to 33.2 Ω

      5 (SW) - 12 (RV)

      Switch off

      2.17 to 4.03 kΩ

      Switch on (Heater Min.)

      Switch on (Heater Max.)

      0.28 to 0.52 kΩ
      Tip:

      As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the refreshing seat switch illuminates.

      OK

      Measurement Condition

      Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 11 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → 6 (ILL-)

      Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.

    3. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the refreshing seat switch indicator illuminates.

      OK

      Battery negative (-) → 4 (E)

      Switch on

      Indicator illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.
