  1. SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

    1. Front seat belt warning light operation for driver seat belt:

      The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks or turns off in accordance with the driver seat belt state.

    2. Front seat belt warning light operation for front passenger seat belt:

      The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks or turns off in accordance with whether the front passenger seat is occupied and the front passenger seat belt state.

    3. Rear seat belt warning light:

      The rear seat belt warning lights on the telltale light assembly illuminate or turn off in accordance with the state of each front door*1, rear door*2 or back door*2 vehicle speed and rear seat belt state.

      • *2: for 5 Door

    4. Seat belt warning buzzer:

      When the vehicle is driven at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more with the front passenger seat occupied and the driver, front passenger or a rear seat belt not fastened, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 30 seconds.

      After that, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at an interval of 0.4 seconds for 90 seconds.

    Occupant detection sensor (Separate type front seat cushion pad)

    Informs the combination meter assembly of the front passenger seat condition (occupied or unoccupied).

    • Rear seat inner belt assembly (RH side)

    Informs the combination meter assembly of the condition of each rear seat belt (fastened or unfastened).

    • Front door courtesy light switch assembly (driver door)*1

    • Front door courtesy light switch assembly (front passenger door)*1

    • Rear door courtesy light switch assembly (LH side)*2

    • Rear door courtesy light switch assembly (RH side)*2

    • Back window lock assembly*2

    Informs the combination meter assembly of the condition of each front door*1, rear door*2 or back door*2 (open or closed).

    Combination meter assembly

    • The combination meter assembly blinks or turns off the front seat belt warning light.

    • The combination meter assembly illuminates or turns off the rear seat belt warning light.

    • The combination meter assembly sounds the seat belt warning buzzer.

    Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)

    Sends the vehicle speed signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
