DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the front fog lights.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK OPERATION (TAILLIGHTS)


    1. Check the operation of the taillights.

      OK
      Taillights operate normally.
      Result
      Proceed to

    GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE - FOG FR RELAY)


    1. Remove the FOG FR relay.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      5 (FOG FR relay) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOG FR RELAY INPUT VOLTAGE)


    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the A57 fog light assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the A56 fog light assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 (FOG FR relay) - A57-2 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      3 (FOG FR relay) - A56-2 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      3 (FOG FR relay) or A57-2 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3 (FOG FR relay) or A56-2 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
