PARKING BRAKE LEVER DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.1

      Remove the parking brake plunger protector.

      Remove the clip.

      Remove the clip from the parking brake wire hole pin.

      Remove the parking brake wire hole pin and the parking brake wire pulley.

      Remove the parking brake switch assembly.

      Move the parking brake pawl (A) to release the lock, and push in the parking brake plunger assembly (B) as shown in the illustration.

      Separate the parking brake cable assembly No.1 from the parking brake plunger assembly.

      Remove the parking brake cable assembly No.1 from the bracket.

  2. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE PLUNGER ASSEMBLY

      Using a punch (φ3 mm) and hammer, remove the parking brake plunger pin.

      Using a small screwdriver, remove the parking brake plunger anti-rattle.

      Tech Tips


      • Turn the parking brake anti-rattle, and remove it from its end.

      • Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Remove the parking brake plunger assembly from the parking brake plunger guide.

      Using a small screwdriver, remove the parking brake plunger bushing.

      Note

      Do not damage the plunger guide.

      Tech Tips

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

      Using a drill (φ4mm), remove the staking part of the parking brake pawl pin.

      Note

      Do not damage the plunger guide.

    6. Remove the 2 parking brake pawl pins, 2 parking brake pawls and 2 springs.
