ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1203/95

DTC Code DTC Name
C1203/95 ECM Communication Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This circuit is used to send TRC and VSC information from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) to the hybrid vehicle control ECU, and hybrid control system information from the hybrid vehicle control ECU to the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) via CAN communication.

Identification information sent from other ECUs is stored when the vehicle is shipped from the factory and used as the default values.

Note:

DTC C1203/95 is output when an incorrect ECU is installed. If initialization is performed and learning occurs with an incorrect ECU installed, operations and functions will differ from those stored when the vehicle was shipped from the factory. Therefore, make sure that learning occurs properly.

Either of the following is detected:

  1. Identification information sent from other ECUs does not match with the value stored when shipped from the factory.

  2. No stored information for destination.

  • The wrong ECU or sensor was installed

  • Skid control ECU (Brake booster with master cylinder assembly)

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:
  • When replacing the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly), perform initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve.

  • When replacing the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly), perform zero point calibration.

  • When replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK PART NUMBER

    1. Check that the proper hybrid vehicle control ECU, main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) are installed.

      OK

Proper ECUs and sensor are installed.

    2. Check if the hybrid vehicle control ECU, main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) were replaced before the DTC was recorded.

      OK

ECU or sensor was not replaced.
