BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER (for TSAM Made) REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER KIT


    1. Fix the master cylinder body in a vise between aluminum plates.

      Note

      Do not overtighten the vise.

      Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to the rubber parts as shown is the illustration.

    3. Install the No. 1 and No. 2 pistons into the master cylinder body.

      Note


      • Install the piston straight while being careful not to damage the inside of the cylinder.

      • Do not damage the lip of the cylinder cup.

    4. Push in the piston and install a new gasket and a new piston stopper bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    5. Install the snap ring using snap ring pliers with the piston pushed in.

      Note

      Do not scratch the inside of the cylinder body.

  2. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR STRAINER


    1. Install the brake master cylinder reservoir strainer to the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

  3. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR FILLER CAP ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the brake master cylinder reservoir filler cap assembly to the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

  4. INSTALL BRAKE FLUID INFORMATION LABEL

  5. INSTALL MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR GROMMET

      Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to 2 new master cylinder reservoir grommets.

    2. Install the 2 master cylinder reservoir grommets to the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

  6. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the brake master cylinder reservoir sub-assembly to the master cylinder body.

    2. Install the screw.
