ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM DTC CHECK / CLEAR

Tip:

  • When using the intelligent tester with the engine switch off to troubleshoot: Connect the intelligent tester to the vehicle and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second or less intervals until communication between the intelligent tester and vehicle begins.

  • Refer to the intelligent tester operator's manual for further details.

  1. CHECK FOR IMMOBILISER DTC

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Entry&Start / DTC.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Entry&Start > Trouble Codes

  2. CHECK FOR ECM DTC

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / DTC.

      Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Trouble Codes

    5. Check for DTCs.

  3. CLEAR IMMOBILISER DTC

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Entry&Start / DTC.

      Body Electrical > Entry&Start > Clear DTCs

    5. Clear the DTCs.

  4. CLEAR ECM DTC

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / DTC.

    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Clear DTCs
