REAR CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL REAR ENGINE OIL SEAL

    1. Apply MP grease to the lip of a new rear engine oil seal.

    2. A202329N01

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in the rear engine oil seal as shown in the illustration.

      09223-56010

      Standard depth

      0 to 0.9 mm (0 to 0.0354 in.)

      Note:

      • Keep the lip free from foreign matter.

      • Do not tap the rear engine oil seal at an angle.

      • Make sure that the rear engine oil seal is properly installed.

  2. INSTALL FLYWHEEL WITH DAMPER ASSEMBLY

  5. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH COVER ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
