POWER STEERING ECU INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the power steering ECU assembly with 2 new bolts.

      20 N*m

      204 kgf*cm

      15 ft.*lbf

    2. Install 3 new terminal bolts.

      3.2 N*m

      33 kgf*cm

      28 in.*lbf

    3. Connect the 2 connectors and 2 harness clamps, and install a new ECU wire sub-assembly to the power steering ECU.

    4. Install 2 new power steering ECU protectors to the power steering ECU assembly.

  2. INSTALL ELECTRIC POWER STEERING COLUMN SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click hereClick hereClick hereClick hereClick hereClick here).

  5. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
