FRONT CONSOLE BOX(for Hatchback, Wagon) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

      Pull the front No. 1 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) to disengage the claw, 3 clips and guide <A>.

    2. Pull the front No. 1 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) to disengage the guide <B> to remove the front No. 1 console box insert.

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

      Pull the front No. 2 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) to disengage the claw, 3 clips and guide <A>.

    2. Pull the front No. 2 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) to disengage the guide <B> to remove the front No. 2 console box insert.

  4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

      Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for CVT)

      Disengage the claw to disconnect the position indicator housing assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE SHIFTING HOLE BEZEL (for Manual Transaxle)

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 5 clips and remove the shifting hole bezel.

  7. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY (for CVT)

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

      Disengage the clip as shown in the illustration.

    3. B407508

      Disengage the clip as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disconnect the connector to remove the position indicator housing assembly.

  8. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 3 claws and 5 clips and remove the upper console panel sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL

      Disengage the 6 clips.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Disconnect each connector to remove the upper console panel.

  10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 4 clips.

    2. Disconnect each connector.

    3. Disengage the clamp to remove the instrument panel box assembly.

  11. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX COVER (w/o Power Outlet Socket)

      Remove the rear console box cover.

  12. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET

      Remove the console box carpet.

  13. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

    1. for Manual Transaxle:

      1. B334332

        Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws.

    2. for CVT:

      1. B334333

        Remove the 2 bolts and 4 screws.

    3. B334334

      Disengage the 4 guides and remove the rear console box assembly as shown in the illustration.
