AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the headlight dimmer switch (light control switch) to the AUTO position.
Cover the automatic light control sensor.
Check that the taillights and low beam headlights come on.
Uncover the automatic light control sensor.
Check that the low beam headlights and taillights turn off.
LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (for Door-linked Light Auto Turn-off System)

*2: w/ Rear Fog Light
Prepare the vehicle so that the engine switch on (IG) and the driver door is closed.
Set the headlight dimmer switch (light control switch) to the tail, head or AUTO position to illuminate the lights.
Turn the engine switch off and open the driver door. Check that the headlights, front fog lights*1, rear fog lights*2, taillights, clearance lights and license plate lights turn off.
LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (except Door-linked Light Auto Turn-off System)

*2: w/ Rear Fog Light
When headlight dimmer switch (light control switch) in AUTO position.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the headlights, front fog lights*1, rear fog lights*2, clearance lights, taillights or license plate lights on.
Turn the engine switch off.
Check that all of lights go off immediately.
When headlight dimmer switch (light control switch) in tail or head position.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the headlights, front fog lights*1, rear fog lights*2, clearance lights, taillights or license plate lights on.
Turn the engine switch off.
Check that the headlights and front fog lights*1 go off immediately.
DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM
Headlight dimmer switch (light control switch) is in the off or AUTO position (and the low beam headlights are not turned on via the automatic light control system).
Start the engine.
Release the parking brake.
Check that the daytime running lights come on.
FOLLOW ME HOME SYSTEM (w/ Follow Me Home System)
The follow me home system is designed to illuminate the low beam headlights for approximately 30 seconds after the vehicle is parked.
This system is controlled by the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
This system is enabled when the following conditions are met:
The engine switch is off.
The light control switch is in the off or AUTO position.
The light control switch is pulled to flash the headlights once.
