  1. OPERATION

    1. Based on the engine speed, intake air volume, throttle position and engine coolant temperature signals, the ECM can calculate the optimal valve timing for the driving conditions and control the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly. Additionally, the ECM uses signals from the crank position sensor and camshaft position sensors to detect the actual valve timing, thus providing feedback control to achieve the target valve timing.
