DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction is detected in the electronically controlled brake system. Check the electronically controlled brake system when DTC P157800 is stored.

P157800 Brake System When the engine switch is on (IG) and the cruise control system is operating, a malfunction in the electronically controlled brake system is detected for 0.2 seconds or more.

  • First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting.

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs.

      w/ Vacuum Brake Booster: Click here

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Trouble Codes

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Cruise Control > Clear DTCs

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.
