PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK STOP LIGHT OPERATION

    1. Check that the stop lights illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed.

      OK

      The stop lights illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed.

    CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUT)

    • *1: for LHD

      *2: for RHD

    1. Disconnect the A110 brake booster with master cylinder assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the A100*1 or A77*2 stop light switch assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the A109*1 stop light control ECU assembly connector.

    4. Disconnect the N13 rear combination light lens and body LH connector.

    5. Disconnect the M19 rear combination light lens and body RH connector.

    6. Disconnect the U1 center stop light assembly connector.

    7. Disconnect the N39*1 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

    8. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

  3. CHECK STOP LIGHT CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (OUT)

    1. Disconnect the N13 rear combination light lens and body LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the M19 rear combination light lens and body RH connector.

    3. Disconnect the U1 center stop light assembly connector.

    4. Disconnect the N39 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector (w/ Vehicle Proximity Notification System).

    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

    REPAIR OR REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY AND CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

    1. Inspect the rear combination light lens and body.

    REPLACE STOP LIGHT CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

  4. CHECK STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (OUT)

    1. Disconnect the N13 rear combination light lens and body LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the M19 rear combination light lens and body RH connector.

    3. Disconnect the U1 center stop light assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
