CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE(for Bank 1) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY

2. INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR BOLT

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Plunger
      *b	Intake Side
      *c	Exhaust Side

      Check the stroke of the plunger in the center of the camshaft timing gear bolt.

      
      

      1. for Intake Side:

         Standard Stroke
         4.5 mm (0.177 in.) or more

         Tech Tips

         When pressing the plunger, there may be a stepped feeling. This is not a malfunction.

      2. for Exhaust Side:

         Standard Stroke
         2.2 mm (0.0866 in.) or more

         Tech Tips

         When pressing the plunger, there may be a stepped feeling. This is not a malfunction.
