FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) REASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for RHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.


  1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)


    1. Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT WIRE


    1. A01DWPP

      Attach the 2 wire harness clamps to install the No. 1 seat wire.

    2. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      Connect the front power seat motor assembly (for Reclining) connector.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE RH

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front seat wire RH.

    2. Attach the wire harness clamp.

  4. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the front lower seat cushion shield LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  5. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the front lower seat cushion shield RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  6. INSTALL POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear Lifter)

  8. INSTALL POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Reclining, w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)

  9. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)


    1. Attach the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  11. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)


    1. Attach the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  12. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH


    1. Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 SEATBACK CLOTH


    1. A01DVAD

      Install the No. 1 seatback cloth.

  14. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD


    1. A01DX37

      Install the separate type front seatback pad to the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD, w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. Set the front seatback heater assembly LH on the separate type front seatback cover.

    2. Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater assembly LH to the separate type front seatback cover with 6 new tack pins as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not substitute other metal parts for tack pins.

  16. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. Using hog ring pliers, attach the strap of the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

    2. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      Attach the separate type front seatback cover bracket and install the nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note

      After the separate type front seatback cover is installed, make sure the separate type front seatback cover bracket is not twisted.

      Pass the straps of the separate type front seatback cover through the holes of the separate type front seatback pad.

      *1 Hog Ring Pliers

      Using hog ring pliers, attach the strap of the separate type front seatback cover together with the No. 1 seatback cloth to the separate type front seatback spring assembly with new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      for LHD, w/ Seat Heater System:

      Pass the front seatback heater assembly LH wire harness through the hole of the separate type front seatback cover.

    7. A01DZOVE01

      Pass the No. 1 seat wire through the hole of the separate type front seatback cover.

    8. Using hog ring pliers, attach the wires at the bottom of the separate type front seatback cover with new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      Connect the No. 1 seat wire connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

  17. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)


    1. Attach the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  18. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)


    1. Attach the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  19. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)


    1. Install the separate type front seatback assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the 2 screws.

    3. A01DZUF

      for LHD, w/ Seat Heater System:

      Attach the front seatback heater assembly LH wire harness clamp.

    4. A01DWRF

      Connect the No. 1 seat wire connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

    5. A01DYG3

      Attach the 4 front seat airbag wire harness clamps.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD, w/ Seat Heater System)

    1. Set the front seat cushion heater on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

    2. Using a tacker, install the front seat cushion heater to the separate type front seat cushion cover with 12 new tack pins as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not substitute other metal parts for tack pins.

  21. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Attach the hooks to install the front seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. Bend the 2 front seat cushion frame claws downward.

      for LHD, w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Attach the 4 front seat cushion heater assembly LH clamps.

      2. Connect the 2 front seat cushion heater assembly LH connectors.

      Using hog ring pliers, attach the rubber bands of the separate type front seatback cover to the seat cushion spring with new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER RH


    1. Install the front seat cushion cover RH.

  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Install the front seat inner belt assembly LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

    2. Connect the connector and attach the 3 clamps.

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. Pass the wire harness of the front seat inner belt assembly below the claw and into the front seat inner cushion shield RH.

      Attach the claw to temporarily install the front seat inner cushion shield RH.

      Note

      Make sure that the wire harness of the front seat inner belt assembly is not being pinched inside the front seat inner cushion shield.

      Attach the guide and claw.

      Note

      Make sure that the wire harness of the front seat inner belt assembly is not being pinched inside the front seat inner cushion shield.

    4. Install the screw.

  26. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH RH


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Install the front power seat switch RH with the 3 screws.

  27. INSTALL FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield RH.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

  28. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. Attach the claw and guide to install the front seat cushion shield RH.

    2. Install the 3 screws.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

  29. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

      Attach the 4 claws to install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  30. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

      Attach the 2 claws to install the reclining power seat switch knob.
