    1. Pre-damper (C550 and C551 Manual Transaxle Models)

      1. The pre-dampers, consisting of independent inner and outer hubs and coil springs placed on the inner hub, are positioned in the center of the clutch disc. They absorb the vibration that is generated by fluctuations in engine speed during idling and therefore reduce the gear lash noise created in the transaxle. The main damper springs carry out the same vibration reduction function during normal driving.
