AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during air fuel ratio sensor removal/installation are shown below.

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE

  3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR

  5. REMOVE TRANSMISSION UNDER COVER (for 2WD)

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for 2WD)

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

    Click here

  8. REMOVE FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for AWD)

  9. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)

      Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

    2. Detach the wire harness clamp.

      Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the converter with catalyst assembly RH.

  10. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1)

      Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

    2. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the converter with catalyst assembly LH.

  11. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)


    1. for 2WD:

        Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

      2. Detach the wire harness clamp.

        Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the converter with catalyst assembly RH.

        Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

      2. Detach the 6 wire harness clamps.

        Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the converter with catalyst assembly RH.

  12. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)


    1. for 2WD:

        Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

        Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the converter with catalyst assembly LH.

      2. Detach the 4 wire harness clamps.
