DESCRIPTION

The pre-collision city sensor receives accelerator pedal position sensor signals from the ECM and determines whether acceleration is requested by the driver. When the ECM detects a malfunction in the accelerator pedal position sensor, the pre-collision city sensor is notified via CAN communication and this DTC is output.

With the ignition switch ON, the pre-collision city sensor receives an accelerator pedal position sensor malfunction signal from the ECM for approximately 5 seconds or more.

  1. GO TO SFI SYSTEM

    Tip:

    If DTC C1A63 is output by the pre-collision system, perform troubleshooting for the SFI system.
