  1. OUTLINE


    1. The 2TR-FE engine is an in-line 4-cylinder, 2.7-liter, 16-valve DOHC engine.

    2. On this engine, the Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) system, Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent (ETCS-i), and air injection system* are used. These control functions have been optimized to further improve engine performance and fuel economy, and to reduce exhaust emissions.

    3. The 2TR-FE engine is available for use with leaded gasoline as standard equipment on models for Iraq and models for general countries (TGN16L-CRMDK, TGN26L-PRMDK). The 2TR-FE engine is also available for use with unleaded gasoline on other models.
