EGR BYPASS VALVE SWITCHING VALVE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE EGR BYPASS VALVE SWITCHING VALVE (NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY) (w/o Glow Plug Controller)

    1. A257953

      Disconnect the EGR bypass valve switching valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly) connector.

      No. 1 Vacuum Transmitting Hose

      *2

      No. 2 Vacuum Transmitting Hose

      Disconnect the No. 2 vacuum transmitting hose from the EGR bypass valve switching valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly).

    3. Disconnect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose from the EGR bypass valve switching valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly).

      Remove the bolt and EGR bypass valve switching valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly) from the EGR pipe connector.

  2. REMOVE EGR BYPASS VALVE SWITCHING VALVE (NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY) (w/ Glow Plug Controller)

      Disconnect the No. 1 glow plug connector connector.

    2. A349546

      Disengage the clamp from the EGR bypass valve switching valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly).

    3. A349547

      Disconnect the EGR bypass valve switching valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly) connector.

      No. 1 Vacuum Transmitting Hose

      *2

      No. 2 Vacuum Transmitting Hose

      Disconnect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose from the EGR bypass valve switching valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly).

    5. Disconnect the No. 2 vacuum transmitting hose from the EGR bypass valve switching valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly).

    6. Remove the bolt and EGR bypass valve switching valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly) from the EGR pipe connector.

  3. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE BRACKET (w/o Glow Plug Controller)

      Remove the screw and vacuum switching valve bracket from EGR bypass valve switching valve (No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly).
