PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the connector from the parking brake switch.

    2. Measure the resistance between the terminal of the parking brake switch assembly and the switch body when operating the switch shaft.

      Standard resistance (Engine idling)
      Below 1 Ω
      Standard resistance (Engine stopped)
      10 kΩ or higher

      Tech Tips

      If the value is not as specified, replace the parking brake switch.
