    Function

    Combination Meter Assembly

    Receives various signals and illuminates the daytime running lights.

    DRL Relay

    Supplies power to the daytime running lights.

    Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly

    • Light Control Switch

    Outputs a light control switch position signal to the TAIL relay*1 or body ECU*2.

    Body ECU*2

    Outputs a light control switch position signal to the TAIL relay.

    TAIL Relay

    Outputs a light control switch position signal to the combination meter assembly.

    ECM

    Outputs an engine speed signal to the combination meter assembly.

    *1: Models without automatic light control system and entry and start system

    *2: Models with automatic light control system or entry and start system

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL

    1. The daytime running lights illuminate when the following conditions are met.

      • The ignition switch is ON.

      • An engine speed signal is input (engine is running).

      • The light control switch is in the off or AUTO* position (and the taillights are not turned on via the automatic light control system).
