FRONT DOOR LOCK INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Double Locking System)


    1. Check the door lock motor operation.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor.

        Tech Tips

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door lock with motor assembly LH.

    2. Measure the resistance of the door lock position switch.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H23-10 (LSSR) - H23-9 (E) Lock 10 kΩ or higher
      H23-10 (LSSR) - H23-9 (E) Unlock Below 1 Ω

      Tech Tips

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front door lock with motor assembly LH.

    3. Closer motor operation inspection

      1. Set the front door lock assembly LH to the half latch position.

      2. Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check the operation of the door closer.

        Tester Connection Specified Condition

        H36-1 (CLM+) - Battery positive (+)

        H36-5 (CLM-) - Battery negative (-)

        Moves to full latch position

        Tech Tips

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door lock with motor assembly LH.

    4. for LHD:


      1. Measure the resistance of the door lock and unlock switch.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front door lock with motor assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Double Locking System)


    1. Check the door lock motor operation.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor.

      1. Measure the resistance of the door lock and unlock switch.

        • Move the door lock motor to the lock position and set the double locking system. Check that the doors cannot be unlocked by operating the control cable.

        • Move the door lock motor to the lock position and unset the double locking system. Check that the doors can be unlocked by operating the control cable.

        • If the result is not as specified, replace the front door lock with motor assembly LH.

    2. Measure the resistance of the door lock position switch and double lock position switch.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H23-10 (LSSR) - H23-9 (E) Lock 10 kΩ or higher
      H23-10 (LSSR) - H23-9 (E) Unlock Below 1 Ω
      H23-6 (DLSR) - H23-5 (E) Unset 10 kΩ or higher
      H23-6 (DLSR) - H23-5 (E) Set Below 1 Ω

      1. Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor and double lock motor.

    2. Measure the resistance of the door lock position switch.
