INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG & GAUGE)


    1. Remove the ECU-IG&GAUGE fuse from the instrument panel junction block (driver side junction block).

    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard Resistance
      Below 1 Ω

    NG
    OK
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (METER*1 OR LIGHT*2 - BATTERY AND GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the A27*1 meter connector.

    2. Disconnect the P13*2 light connector.


      • 1: w/ Accessory Meter Assembly

      • 2: w/o Accessory Meter Assembly

    3. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard Voltage
      w/ Accessory Meter Assembly
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A27-12 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch OFF Below 1 V
      w/o Accessory Meter Assembly
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P13-3 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch OFF Below 1 V
    4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard Resistance
      w/ Accessory Meter Assembly
      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      A27-1 (GND1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      w/o Accessory Meter Assembly
      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P13-1 - Body ground Below 1 Ω

  3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (BUCKLE SWITCH)

    1. Disconnect the F17 belt connector.

    2. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Seat belt is unfastened (ON) and apply more than 147 N (15 kgf, 22 lbf) of force to occupant detection sensor Below 1 Ω
      Seat belt is fastened (OFF) 1 MΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INNER BELT - BODY GROUND)

    1. Disconnect the F17 belt connector.

    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      F17-2 - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG
    OK
  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INNER BELT - METER*1 OR LIGHT*2)


    1. Disconnect the F17 belt connector.

    2. Disconnect the A27*1 meter connector.

    3. Disconnect the P13*2 light connector.


      • *1: w/ Accessory Meter Assembly

      • *2: w/o Accessory Meter Assembly

    4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

  6. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR)

    1. Disconnect the A sensor connector.

    2. Measure the resistance of the sensor.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Apply more than 147 N (15 kgf, 22 lbf) of force to occupant detection sensor Below 100 Ω
      No force applied to occupant detection sensor 1 MΩ or higher

    OK
