MONITOR DESCRIPTION
The ECM checks for belt clamping high-pressure or low-pressure malfunctions. If a mechanical malfunction of the shift solenoid valve SLS or the oil pressure sensor is detected by the ECM, it illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
After performing repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.
Perform the D position test in Road Test.
Check for DTCs again.
PROCEDURE
CHECK DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P084000 AND P28287F)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Trouble Codes.
Powertrain > Transmission > Trouble Codes
Read the DTCs using the GTS.
Tip:If any DTCs other than P084000 or P28287F are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs first.

CAUTION:A stall speed test should always be performed with at least 2 people. One person should observe the condition of the wheels and wheel chocks while the other is performing the test.
Note:This test must be performed after checking and confirming that the engine is normal.
Perform this test with the CVT fluid temperature between 50 and 100°C (122 and 212°F).
Perform this test with the air conditioning off.
Do not perform the stall speed test for longer than 5 seconds
When performing the stall speed test repeatedly, wait for 15 seconds or more between tests.
Warm up the engine.
Fully apply the parking brake and chock all 4 wheels.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Active Test / Activate the TC Terminal.

Note:Performing Reset Memory will clear the learned values of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration) and the CVT oil pressure (CVT Oil Pressure Calibration). Make sure to perform Reset Memory, Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration, and CVT Oil Pressure Calibration if any of the parts in the following table have been replaced.
Replaced Part
Continuously variable transaxle assembly
ECM
Oil pressure sensor
Airbag sensor assembly (Yaw rate and acceleration sensor)
After performing Reset Memory, always perform Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration first, and then CVT Oil Pressure Calibration.
Always perform calibration with the vehicle on level ground (Inclination: 0 +/- 0.25°).
Do not shake or vibrate the vehicle during calibration.
Using the GTS, perform Reset Memory, Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration and CVT Oil Pressure Calibration.
