Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.
Note
While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
PROCEDURE
INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR LH
Install the rear speed sensor LH with the bolt.
Note
The rear speed sensor is easily damaged. When installing the rear speed sensor to the rear axle hub LH, do not use excessive force to rotate and install it.
Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
Do not drop the sensor. If the sensor has been dropped, replace the sensor with a new one.
INSTALL SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
for LH Side:
Install the sensor clamp with the bolt.
Note
Do not twist the skid control sensor wire.
Connect the speed sensor connector to the rear speed sensor LH.
for RH Side:
Install the sensor clamp with the bolt.
Note
Do not twist the skid control sensor wire.
Connect the speed sensor connector to the rear speed sensor RH.
Connect the pad wear indicator connector.
Install the 3 sensor clamps with the 3 nuts.
Note
Do not twist the skid control sensor wire.
Connect the rear height control sensor connector.
Connect the absorber control actuator connector.
Insert the 2 skid control sensor wire connectors into the cabin from the hole in the rear wheel house.
Attach the 2 grommets to the hole in the rear wheel house.
for LH Side:
Connect the 2 cabin skid control sensor wire connectors.
for RH Side:
Connect the 2 cabin skid control sensor wire connectors.
