HEATED WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK HEATED WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER SYSTEM


    1. Start the engine.

    2. Check that the windshield glass (No. 1 heated windshield defroster) and windshield glass (No. 2 heated windshield defroster) becomes warm by operating the front window deicer switch (lower D module switch).

    3. Confirm that heated windshield defroster system operation stops after approximately 4 minutes.

      Note

      If the ambient temperature is 5°C (41°F) or higher, or if a malfunction of the ambient temperature sensor (thermistor assembly) is detected, the HWD NO. 3 relay will be deactivated and the front window deicer switch indicator light will blink.
