REAR SHOCK ABSORBER(for 2WD) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The RH side rear shock absorber assembly RH lower protector should face to the front side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Support the rear axle housing.


      1. Jack up and support the vehicle's frame on stands.

      2. Lower the axle housing until the leaf spring tension is free, and maintain this position.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 rear No. 2 shock absorber cushion washers.

    3. Disconnect the rear shock absorber assembly LH and 4 rear shock absorber bushes from the U bolt seat and frame.

    4. Remove the 4 rear shock absorber bushes from the rear shock absorber assembly LH.

    5. Remove the 2 No. 1 rear shock absorber cushion washers.
