  1. FUNCTION


    1. The cooling fan control system achieves an optimal fan speed in accordance with the engine coolant temperature, vehicle speed, engine speed, and air conditioning operating conditions.

    2. The ECM calculates the cooling fan speed in accordance with the engine coolant temperature, vehicle speed, engine speed and air conditioning operating conditions, and sends the signals to the cooling fan ECU. Upon receiving the signals from the ECM, the cooling fan ECU actuates the cooling fan motor.

    3. After the engine is stopped (the engine switch is off), the ECM may operate the cooling fan for a maximum of 120 seconds according to the driving conditions and engine condition to lower the temperature inside the engine compartment.
