FRONT DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING REMOVAL

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER

  3. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH

  6. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER LH

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  10. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY LH

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

    2. Detach the clip and remove the front door weatherstrip LH so that the door window frame moulding clip can be removed.

  16. REMOVE DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING CLIP

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the door window frame moulding clip.

  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REAR FRAME MOULDING LH

    Tip:

    When removing the window frame moulding, heat the front door panel and front door window rear frame moulding LH using a heat light.

    Note:

    Do not heat the front door panel or front door window rear frame moulding LH excessively.

      Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the front door window rear frame moulding LH.

    2. Using moulding remover D, remove the double-sided tape to detach the clip and remove the front door window rear frame moulding LH.
