When the skid control ECU detects a malfunction in the skid control buzzer circuit, a malfunction signal is sent to the ECM and a DTC is stored.

Warning Buzzer Malfunction

While the vehicle speed is 50 km/h (30 mph) or more with the cruise control switch on, a skid control buzzer circuit malfunction signal is received from the skid control ECU for 0.2 seconds or more.

Note:

When the ECM is replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed (Click here).

PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)

    1. Select the item below in the Active Test, and then check that the skid control buzzer sounds

  2. CHECK FOR DTC

    1. Clear the DTCs

      Click here

      Powertrain > Radar Cruise > Clear DTCs

    2. Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tip:

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) or more.

      2. Turn the cruise control switch on.

    3. Check for DTCs
