PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL QUARTER GARNISH MOULDING

    Tech Tips

    When installing the quarter garnish moulding, heat the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly using a heat light.

    Heating Temperature
    Item Temperature
    Quarter Pillar Cover Sub-assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly excessively.


    1. Clean the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the release paper from a new quarter garnish moulding.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      Install the quarter garnish moulding as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Install each quarter garnish moulding along the line on the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR PILLAR GARNISH PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 2 rear pillar garnish protector, heat the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly using a heat light.

    Heating Temperature
    Item Temperature
    Quarter Pillar Cover Sub-assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly excessively.


    1. Clean the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the release paper from a new No. 2 rear pillar garnish protector.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      Install the No. 2 rear pillar garnish protector as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Install each No. 2 rear pillar garnish protector along the line on the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly.
