WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (for Non-built-in Type Door Control Receiver) SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

    1. This system locks and unlocks the vehicle's doors remotely. The wireless door lock control system has the following features:

      • The door control receiver performs the code identification process and the driver side junction block assembly operates the door lock control. A serial data link is provided for communication between the door control receiver and driver side junction block assembly.

      • A key-integrated type transmitter is used and it contains the following 2 switches: the door lock switch and door unlock switch.

      • An LED is built into the transmitter so that the battery status can be checked.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Components Functions
    Door control transmitter
    • Contains lock and unlock switches.

    • Transmits faint electric waves (recognition codes and function codes) to door control receiver.

    • Illuminates indicator light (LED) during transmission.

Unlock warning switch assembly Detects if key is in ignition key cylinder or not.

Rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH/RH*1

    • Located on each door.

    • Turns on when the door is open and off when the door is closed. Outputs the door status (open or closed) to the driver side junction block assembly.

Front door lock assembly LH*2, RH*3
    • Built-in motor locks and unlocks the door.

    • Built-in door lock position switch detects the door status (locked or unlocked) and outputs a signal to the driver side junction block assembly. This switch turns off when the door is locked and turns on when the door is unlocked.

Front door lock assembly RH*2, LH*3

    Rear door lock assembly LH/RH*1

Built-in motor locks and unlocks the door.
Door control receiver Receives weak electric waves (recognition codes and function codes) from the driver side junction block assembly and changes the waves to code data.

  3. SYSTEM FUNCTION

    1. The wireless door lock control system has the following functions.

      Function Outline
All door lock function Pressing lock switch locks all doors.
All door unlock function Pressing unlock switch unlocks all doors.
      Answer-back function
      • When the doors are locked by a wireless operation, the hazard warning lights and side turn signal lights flash once.

      • When the doors are unlocked by a wireless operation, the hazard warning lights and side turn signal lights flash twice.

Automatic locking function If no doors are opened within 30 seconds after they are unlocked by the door control transmitter assembly, all the doors lock again automatically.
      Illuminated entry function*
      • All the doors are locked, pressing the unlock switch causes the transponder key amplifier (ignition key cylinder light) to turn on and all the doors to unlock simultaneously.

      • If the doors have not been opened, the transponder key amplifier (ignition key cylinder light) turns off after approximately 15 seconds.

Security function Sends signal as rolling code.
Transmitter recognition code registration function Enables 4 modes for registering (writing and storing) transmitter recognition codes in EEPROM, which is built into door control receiver.
