STOP AND START


  1. OPERATION


    1. The combination meter assembly receives the idling on/off signals from the engine stop and start ECU.

    2. By changing the display mode of the multi-information display by operating the multi-information switch on the steering pad switch assembly, the amount of time idling stop was performed since the engine switch was turned on (IG) to when the engine switch was turned off or the amount of time idling stop was performed since the reset switch was last pressed can be displayed.

    3. The system operation status or warning information is indicated to the driver through the following means:


      • Illuminating or blinking the stop and start indicator light and stop and start cancel indicator light.

      • Sounding a buzzer.

      • Displaying other information on the multi-information display.

      Stop and Start Cancel Indicator Light Operation

      The vehicle is stopped and system operation conditions are met. Off
      The stop and start system is preventing the engine stop control from operating. Illuminates
      The ecorun cancel switch assembly is on.
      Any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are detected. Blinks
      The number of times the starter assembly has been operated exceeds the threshold.
      The combined engine start and restart count exceeds the threshold.

      • The air conditioning system is being used when the ambient temperature is high or low.

      • Windshield defogger is pressed.

      "Battery Charging"
      • The battery charge amount may be low.

      • A refresh charge may be occurring.

      • The engine may have been started with the hood opened

      • The battery may be cold

      • The battery may be extremely hot

      "For Brake System"
      • The brake booster load decreased.

      • The vehicle is operated at a high elevation.

      "Driver Seat Belt Unbuckled" The driver seat belt is not fastened.
      When the engine automatically restarts while stopped by the atop and start system A01T0MU "For Climate Control"
      • The air conditioning system is turned on or the air conditioning is being used.

      • Windshield defogger is turned on.

      "For Brake System" The brake pedal is strongly depressed further or pumped.
      "Battery Charging" The battery charge amount may be low.
      "Steering Wheel Turned" The steering wheel is turned.
      "Driver Seat Belt Unbuckled" The driver seat belt is not fastened.
